Now Scheduling Appointments Starting in March 2026
Starting therapy or psychiatric care is a significant step, and it’s natural to feel a mix of hope and nervousness. At Mind-Body Psychiatric Services, we prioritize transparency and safety from the very first moment. Our goal for your initial visit is to listen, understand your unique story, and begin building a roadmap toward your wellness.
We provide a free initial consultation with Olena so that you can ask any questions you might have and explore whether our services might be a good match for your needs. This visit will take place by phone. If you are ready, you can schedule your Initial Intake during this phone call. We can also discuss payment options and provide a Good Faith Estimate (a legally required cost estimate).

Once you schedule your initial intake, you will receive access to our Secure Patient Portal within 24 hours. We ask that you complete your intake paperwork - including health history and consent forms - at least 24 hours before your appointment. This allows Olena to review your information beforehand so we can spend our time together focusing on you, not on paperwork. You will also be asked to add a credit card to your file to securely hold your appointment and process any applicable copays or fees.
Your first session is a "deep dive." It is a collaborative conversation where we look at the big picture of your life.
We will discuss your physical health, sleep patterns, nutrition, and any past or current medications.
We’ll talk about what brings you in now, your history, and the "internal scripts" or challenges you’re currently navigating.
Unlike traditional psychiatry, we also pay attention to how your body is feeling. We may discuss where you hold tension or how your nervous system reacts to stress.
If we decide that Creative Movement Therapy is part of your path, your first experience with it will be gentle and invitational.
You don't need to be a dancer, and you don't need to wear special gear (comfortable clothes you can move in are perfect).
We might start with something as simple as noticing your breath or how your feet feel on the floor.
You always have the right to say "no" or "not today" to any movement invitation. We work at the speed of your nervous system.

By the end of the first visit, we will discuss a preliminary plan. This might include:
Medication Management: If appropriate, discussing a prescription plan to help stabilize your symptoms.
Therapeutic Goals: Identifying the specific areas of growth or healing we want to focus on.
Frequency of Care: Deciding how often we should meet to ensure you feel supported.
Movement Component: Choosing whether movement will be a part of your plan.
