This is an outpatient practice designed for individuals and teens who are stable in an outpatient setting. We operate during established business hours only and do not provide 24/7 crisis coverage.
In Case of Emergency: If you or your teen are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or text/call the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.
Appropriate Level of Care: If your clinical needs require a higher level of care (such as Intensive Outpatient or Inpatient treatment), Olena will provide referrals to appropriate facilities to ensure your safety.
Inclusive & Affirming Care
We are a strictly LGBTQ+ affirming and gender-expansive practice. We welcome and support trans women, trans men, and non-binary individuals. We do not tolerate discriminatory language or behavior within the therapeutic space. We are committed to providing a sanctuary for all identities to seek healing.
Controlled Substances
As a Psychiatric NP, Olena is committed to evidence-based prescribing.
ADHD Stimulants: Requests for stimulant medication must be accompanied by a formal ADHD evaluation or previous records confirming the diagnosis. If you do not have these, Olena can provide referrals for neuropsychological testing.
Benzodiazepines: This class of medication is generally prescribed for short-term, acute symptom management only. Due to risks of dependence and long-term side effects, Olena does not typically prescribe benzodiazepines for long-term daily use.
In-person visits: Please note that, as of 2027, in-person visits may be required for certain controlled medications.
Attendance & Cancellations
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.
24-Hour Rule: Cancellations or rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours in advance.
Late Fees: Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or "no-shows," will be charged a fee of $100.
Late Arrival: If you are more than 20 minutes late to a session, it will be considered a no-show and the fee will apply.
Medication Refills
Refills are typically managed during your scheduled follow-up appointments to ensure you have enough medication until your next visit.
Please allow 2 business days for refill requests sent via the patient portal.
Refills will not be authorized for patients who have not been seen within the timeframe recommended in their treatment plan.
Communication & Patient Portal
The Patient Portal is the primary and most secure method of communication for scheduling, refills, and non-emergent questions.
Olena strives to respond to portal messages within 48 business hours.
Clinical discussions (changes in medication or deep therapeutic processing) are not conducted via email or portal and require a scheduled appointment.
Letters & Administrative Paperwork
Requests for FMLA paperwork, school accommodations, or gender-affirming surgery letters require at least two weeks' notice.
Forms are generally completed during a scheduled appointment.
A fee of $25 may apply for paperwork completed outside of session time.
Termination of Services
Olena reserves the right to terminate services in cases of:
Consistent non-payment or multiple late cancellations/no-shows.
Abusive behavior toward the provider.
Misuse of prescribed medications.
Loss of contact (Inactivity) for more than 6 months.
